When I was a little kid in the 80s there was a toy called Mr Potato Head. I think that toy still exists, maybe. The fun part of Mr Potato Head is that you can make him look however you want him to look, he can be whatever you want him to be.
I feel that sometimes The Most High is treated like a Mr Potato Head.
The Holy Scriptures (Bible) repeatedly tells us His attributes; His likes and dislikes, His goals, His promises, what and whom He holds dear.
When we assign attributes to Him that are not scriptural , we’re creating an idol.
We’re all surrounded by idols; idols of the heart, as well as tangible idols. Smashing idols like King Hezekiah and King Josiah needs to be on our daily to-do list.
The Father and His Son have not changed, their image never changed, their commandments haven’t changed, their covenant hasn’t changed and their promises and prophecies haven’t changed.
John 4:24,25 (KJV)
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 7:38 (KJV)
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Hebrews 13:8 (KJV)
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Malachi 3:6 (KJV)
6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
