Christmas Did Not Make The List

The Bible lists Holy-days that The Most High has ordained as holidays. They are as follows:

Passover (Pesach)

Leviticus 23:4-5

These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord’s passover.

Unleavened Bread

Leviticus 23:6-8

And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

Firstfruits

Leviticus 23:10

10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:

Feast of Weeks (Shavuot)

Leviticus 23:16

16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord.

Feast of Trumpets

Leviticus 23:24

24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

Day of Atonement

Leviticus 23:27

27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot)

Leviticus 23:34

34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord.

As you can see, Christmas did not make the list. It used to be one of my favorite holidays until I came to the realization that The Father was not pleased with me observing a holiday that He had not ordained. Christmas is, in fact, a holiday, but NOT unto the God of the Bible; The Elohim of The Christ.

Philippians 2:12-16 (Make sure your hope of salvation is not in vain)

Romans 12:1-2 (Present your body as a living sacrifice to the Most High)

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2Timothy 2:15-16 (Study to prove what you believe to be true)

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

Galatians 5:19-21 (Refrain from doing these works of the flesh if you want to see the Kingdom)

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. *(See biblical definitions on last page)*

Galatians 5:22-26 (Crucify your flesh and operate with the fruit of the Spirit)

1Peter 4:8-9 (Charity is the greatest gift)

8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

Matthew 19:16-17 (Keep the commandments of God)

1Corinthians 6:9-10 (The unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom)

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? • Matthew 12:36-37 Judgment

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Keys to the Kingdom Definitions

Faith – Trust in the person of Christ, the truth of his teaching, and the redemptive work he accomplished at calvary.

Virtue– Involving moral worth. Any excellence of a person or a thing.

Temperance– Self-control.

Patience– The quality of endurance under trials. It is mainly an attitude of heart with respect to things.

Longsuffering– An attitude with respect to people. Having the power to avenge but refrain from doing so.

Knowledge– Spiritual truth.

Godliness– Devout, doing what is pleasing to the Most High.

Brotherly Kindness– Love of the brethren.

Charity– (not just giving to the poor) but a God-inspired love which includes respect for, and concern for the welfare of the loved one…(Agape Love).

Adultery– Sexual intercourse usually of a man, married or unmarried, always with the wife of another.

Fornication– Unlawful sexual intercourse of an unwed person.

Uncleanness– Lustful, impurity; vile affections; sodomite behavior.

Lasciviousness– Lawless insolence (without restraints), not having remorse.

Idolatry– besides worshipping graven images as described in the 2nd commandment, also Idolatry covers making possessions central in your life, and “anything” that leads to the dethronement of the Most High from your heart.

Witchcraft– in league with evil spirits; who practices the black art of witchcraft. (Pharmacy) The use of drugs, spells.. In sorcery, the use of drugs, whether simple or potent.

Variance– Rivalry, debate, strife, contention; expression of enmity.

Emulations– Jealousy, as of a husband or enemy; indignation.

Seditions– Creating divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned.

Heresies– A body of men following their own tenets. Dissensions arising from diversity of opinions and aims. These opinions vary from the true doctrine of Christ. (We call these groupings “clicks”)

Revelings– Usually involves a nocturnal and riotous procession of half drunken and frolicsome fellows who after supper, parade through the streets with torches and music in honor of some pagan diety; drinking parties, orgies. (This would include Pagan Holiday parties as most celebrate today)

Gentleness– The nature of a person. Goodness of heart or act. Goodness expressing itself in deeds.

Meekness– Humility; showing a lowly spirit one to another.

Effeminate– A male who practices forms of un-natural lewdness. People who are guilty of addiction to sins of the flesh; Sodomite (Homosexual), male prostitution.

Abusers of themselves with mankind– One who lies with a male as with a female; a sodomite (Homosexual).

Covetous– Eager to have more; to have what belongs to others; greedy of gain.

Reviler– An abusive, untrustworthy person.

Sorcerer– A druggist (Pharmacist) or poisoner. One who claimed to have supernatural power or knowledge…using magic potions and in league with evil forces.

Whoremonger– A male prostitute. A man who indulges in fornication.
